How to enter
There are three key requirements if you want to enter and win this year’s Big Pitch competition
You need to have a bold and innovative idea…
This could be for a new technology or Internet business, alternatively it could be for a new consumer product, business service, retail outlet, social enterprise or smartphone app – we’re not fussy!
You need to record a 60-second video pitch…
… to sell your idea, using a webcam, smartphone, or digital camera, and then upload this to The Big Pitch website. Find out more about our drop-in sessions throughout round one here
You need to be prepared to promote your idea online…
Get as many votes as you can to give yourself the best possible chance of making it to Round 2.
Round one: The video pitch
To be successful, your video pitch should answer 3-basic questions as clearly as possible:
- What is your idea?
- Who’s going to buy it and why?
- How would you spend the money?
The 15 best ideas, as voted by our judges, and the 10 most popular entries, as voted by you, will then make it into round 2 of the competition.
The rules for entering this year’s competition are available to download as a PDF. Further clarification of these can be obtained at any point from the competition organisers using the contact details on this website.
