Max Khovanskiy - DisEras

DisEras is a VR telepresence accessory which provides a far cheaper and more immersive alternative to conventional telepresence robots/screens, and - if implemented - has the potential to serve as the next iteration of video-conferencing (video-chatting). At its core, it consists of a 3 DoF robotic arm - potentially expandable to 6 DoF with an additional wheel module - whose movement is synchronised with that of a remote client's VR headset. Robotic arms like this are available for as little as 10 pounds online, so the final product should be significantly less expensive to produce than existing telepresence robots or screens, which currently cost in the thousands.
